We talk about "classics" all the time on the Style Blog—things that have a perennial place in the menswear lexicon—and one of the most exalted of those pieces is the Harrington jacket from Baracuta. Another thing we talk a lot about? Heritage. And though Baracuta certainly could be considered a heritage brand, their latest collaboration proves that they're anything but stuck on their ways.
For spring, the British label approached three institutions of the Japanese retail scene—
Beams Plus,
Ships, and
Barneys' Tokyo outpost—to riff on their classic outerwear design. The results, unsurprisingly, were incredibly cool. Whether it be a subtle play on camouflage, a traditional blackwatch tartan, or new, warm-weather colors, the mixture of Eastern and Western aesthetics works wonderfully. And, should you be needing to refresh your vernal jacket options, you can buy them
