How to Spot Knockoff Armani Sunglasses

The brand is good enough for celeb icons Beyonce, Angelina and ScarJo, and you want a piece of it. Getting real Armani sunglasses can showcase your designer diva status, but falling for fake Armanis can blow your cred fast. Learn how to spot fake sunglasses and save your cash for the real deal. You deserve a treat, and what's better than Armani accessories?
1.Fold out the hinges on the sunglasses in question, inspecting them while doing so. True Armani sunglasses have well-made, sturdy hinges that can stand up to daily wearing. Knockoffs usually have flimsy hinges. If the hinges seem uneven or shoddily constructed, you have a fake.

2.Examine the product tag. If the printing is sloppy or doesn't match the font of the Armani logo -- an all-caps serif font similar to Times -- you have a fake. If "Armani" is misspelled, or the tag says "made in China" or something, it's a fake. Real Armani sunglasses are European-made.

3.Look for the designer's name written on the inside or the outside of the temple (the piece that goes from the glasses to your ear). Real Armanis have the brand name written in white or another contrasting color.

4.Ask to see the packaging. Authentic Armani sunglasses come in a padded case, so you can protect your investment. The case should have the designer's logo on it and be well-constructed. A worn-out or flimsy case, or no case at all, are sure signs you're being bamboozled, so hold onto your wallet.

5.Shop wisely: Hit up authentic designer boutiques or shop at the Armani website and licensed Armani stores (see Resources) to ensure you're getting the real deal
