Pampers Vs. Huggies: The Battle of the Diapers

Pampers and Huggies are the two most popular brand of infant diapers. But which one provides the best protection. Both brands maintain a loyal following, and moms often discuss which one they like and which one they don't like and usually for the same reasons. For example, many moms like Huggies for their leak protection, while many Pampers-loyal moms say that Pampers are the only ones that are leak-proof.

New parents may be confused as to which brand to use. Researching and obtaining a review of both of these top-sellers can help consumers make a better choice. Knowing the features of each brand, how to fit a diaper properly, and what comparisons can be drawn between the two diaper brands help parents make the right choice for them.

Huggies diapers claim that they have "unbeatable leak protection" and new "baby shape" is designed to stretch with baby. It also says that it absorbs faster. These diapers are new and improved. When I tested Huggies with a balloon filled with water it had a good absorption rate and not a leak. I then tried Huggies on my daughter. I liked the way that the diaper would feel after she had urinated, but it was no match for her poop. It shot up the back of the diaper every time. Huggies just don't fit "the junk in her trunk."
Pampers diapers now has "caterpillar" stretch. Much like Huggies they are now designed to shrink and expand with babies movement and stomach expansion. If you are not familiar with babies, yet their stomachs expand greatly especially after they eat. Babies are also belly breathers so it expands and contrast with every breath they take. Pampers also claims to have a special core absorber that wicks the liquid a way from baby. While it does take the moister away from the baby it has a strange feeling to it when wet.
Both of these diapers do work well, but you must keep in mind that every child is different and not every diaper fits the same way. Think of diapers as jeans. No way could most people go and pick out a pair of jeans in their size and expect them to fit. Different brands are cut different and no two brands fit the same way. You must shop around and try on many pairs of jeans before you find the pair that fit your body perfectly. Diapers are the same way. Each baby is shaped differently and the diapers that fit your first child may not fit your next child the same way.
