3 Ways to Make Old Jeans New Again

Is your wardrobe  filled with outdated pairs you just can't bear to get rid of. So don't! Use one of these simple DIY ideas to update your old jeans.

Crop them
Make over bootcuts by asking a tailor to take in the legs and hem them to just above the ankle, using thread the same color as the original stitching.

Go bright
Revive jeans too faded to wear with a fabric dye.The lighter the denim and the longer you let them soak, the bolder the color will be. (Stir the water every few minutes to ensure even saturation.) We got this rich lavender in about an hour.

 Add ankle zips
Give basic skinnies some edge by having a tailor add a three-inch zipper to the ankle of each leg. The metal of the zippers should match the buttons and grommets for a polished look.
